Stephen Purches is also sidelined for the game with a back problem. The defender has not appeared in a Cherries shirt since the goalless draw against Torquay in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on 31 August but is back in light training.
Steve Fletcher is again pushing for a starting place after appearing as a substitute in the last three matches but Howe is likely to stick with in-form strike duo Michael Symes and Josh McQuoid, who have scored nine league goals between them this season.
Tim Stephenson (knee ligaments), Mark Molesley (foot) and Steve Lovell (ankle) remain long-term absentees.
