Addicks boss Phil Parkinson will restore several of his first teamers back in the lineup for the game after seeing their replacements throw away a three goal lead against Shrewsbury in midweek when Charlton crashed out of the Carling Cup losing 4-3. Parkinson made as many as eight changes for the cup tie and promptly paid the price.

First choice goalkeeper Rob Elliot will return in goal while Christian Dailly and Gary Doherty will resume their central defensive partnership as the Addicks hope to win promotion this season after missing out again in the last campaign.

Others set to return for the fixture are midfielder Alan McCormack, winger Kyel Reid and striker Akpo Sodje while Therry Racon should retain his place in the side.

Leyton Orient are sweating on the fitness of defender Michael Liddle who missed his new club’s Carling Cup tie due to a groin strain but Mike Cestor will be on standby after playing on Tuesday.
