Cardiff City will begin their Carling Cup campaign with a first round home tie against Burton Albion. Burton Albion captain Darren Moore will not be involved with an Achille problem and manager Paul Peschisolido has decided to save the defender for the club’s second league match against Barnet this weekend.

Peschisolido will also not have Jacques Maghoma available for selection after the latter was called up for DR Congo in their friendly against Egypt.
