Burnley will continue their bid to remain unbeaten in the npower League Championship when they host Leicester City at Turf Moor on Saturday. The Clarets have yet to lose after two games with a win against Nottingham Forest and away draw with Ipswich Town providing a good omen for their season ahead after relegation from the Premier League last season.
Burnley boss Brian Laws is confident his squad will have even more to show the rest of the league as he claims that his players are just starting to get used to the division.
“We have been very solid as a team, which is something we wanted, and everything follows on from there,” Laws said to the club’s official website.
“It is a solid start but there is still room for improvement. We know that we are not quite yet.
“But if we are picking up points when we aren’t, I don’t think, at our 100 per cent best we know we have more to offer.
“We know that if we have more to offer we have a better chance of winning games and each game that goes by we are growing in confidence.”
Laws is giving the Foxes plenty of respect and could be given plenty to think about by his opposite number Paulo Sousa who looks to transform his side since arriving as new Leicester City manager earlier this summer.
The Clarets are hoping to turn Turf Moor into a fortress again and a win over Leicester will certainly go a long way in achieving that aim and their priority of making a quick return to the top flight.
